In the Central zone, it begins on 1 September and ends on 30 October. Then start again on 17 December and ends on 15 January. In South Texas, the pigeon hunting season begins on the 14 September and ends on the 30 October. It starts again on 17 December and ends on 22 January.  

There are limited days for hunting White winged days. The state allows hunting of White-winged dove only in the Southern region from 2nd to 4th September and 9th to 11th September. The daily bag limit during hunting season is 15 pigeons. But, the bag limit of white-winged pigeons is two.
